Tips for getting your HearMe software to work.

Make sure your microphone
is connected to your sound card.

Make sure your computer speakers are on.

If you have never used HearMe before,
you will have to wait while the software
downloads to your computer.

Once it is in place you should see a
small window in the upper left corner
of the screen. You will be listed
initially as Guest###.

Click on the Options in the HearMe
window and change that to your name,
or handle if you wish to be anonymous.

When you press F9 on your keyboard
and speak into your mike, you should see
the green sound bar jump from left to right.

If the bar goes into the yellow, you are
probably too close, back off a little.

Only one person can speak at a time.

If your mike only jumps one space
on the sound bar, you need to
turn it on in your sound control software.

Usually this software looks like a
stacked set of stereo components.
